Infective folliculitis is most often caused by infection with bacteria - purulent streptococcus and staphylococcus aureus - which is temporarily found on the skin and mucous membranes and during immunosuppression. It mainly manifests as small blisters on the skin with purulent discharge, a red border and sometimes a single hair on top of the lesion. The only method that can completely eliminate the problem and folliculitis after epilation is permanent hair removal.
